Rolle's Theorem
(Note: Graphing calculator is designed to work with FireFox or Google Chrome.)
A new program for Rolle's Theorem is now available.

Restricting domain of function:
a =

b =

Point (a, f(a)) = (0, -2.2)
Point (b, f(b)) = (4, -2.2)
f(a) = f(0) = -2.2 and f(b) = f(4) = -2.2
[f(b) - f(a)]/[b - a] = 0

We want to find a number c such that f '(c) = [f(b) - f(a)]/[b - a] = 0.
Note that f '(c) = 0.4(c - 2).
Hence, we need to solve equation 0.4(c - 2) = 0 for c.
c = 2

(Depending on the equation, more than one solutions might exist.)
